I have had McAfee before but this time it was on my new computer when purchased a year ago. In two days time it expires but for the last month at least I have been bombarded with emails telling me so. I have bought security from another company giving the same cover for one sixth of the price. They were going to charge £120+. I stopped auto renewal months ago and since I have been pestered by them to turn it back on. I managed to get a customer service rep to delete my card details. Fortunately I changed banks so the details they have do not exist anymore. On their site with data protection and trying to have my details erased from their system is a total nightmare. Three different times I have tried and their system does not allow it. Customer service reps. keep directing you to the failed site. Their systems and their site is terrible to negotiate and after they have taken your money they are not interested.13.12.21 I have tried to cancel my Email contact to prevent McAfee from sending me emails. Unfortunately you can't get through on the phone and they don't connect to their live chat. They are now storing my contact details illegally as the expired account does not fall into the exceptions within the data protection act. Every time you try and connect they don't answer and create tickets awaiting a response from me. They have become one of the most incompetent companies for customer service.
