In late August my personal information was stolen and used to make 3 purchases for football tickets from Seat Geek by some loser “John T” in Maryland. My bank immediately notified of the fraud and I called them to confirm that yes, it was indeed fraud. This individual used the Seat Geek app to create an account under my name and information, made (3) charges under my name and transferred his (1) successful purchase to himself also by using the app.Seat Geek refunded 2 of the 3 charges immediately (8/29), yet retained the third charge. I filed a dispute with my bank against this fraudulent charge, notified Seat Geek as well in early September and yet now - nearly three months later - am notified by my bank that Seat Geek refuses to refund me the money that was stolen from me. Their claim? That *I* made the charge. Well of course it looks like I did - BECAUSE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION WAS STOLEN AND USED TO MAKE A FRAUDULENT PURCHASE BY SOMEONE ELSE. Seat Geek is also claiming that my bank needs to refund me the money. In what alternate universe does that even make any sense? SEAT GEEK CHARGED ME, not my bank. Not only that but *if SEAT GEEK REFUNDED 2 OUT OF 3 CHARGES BECAUSE THEY WERE FRAUDULENT THEN HOW IS THE THIRD CHARGE *NOT* FRAUD?!?! Make it make sense. Verdict: Seat Geek is 1000% certified steaming hot rotten TRASH. Stay far, far away from using this pathetic “business.”
