DON'T EVER! EVER! EVER BE TEMPTED BY A TELEGRAPH OFFER!!!!Last year (26/07/2023) I took them up on an offer of "Enjoy 1 year of Telegraph Puzzles for just 99p.Puzzles Subscription. Billed today as 99p for 1 year. Renews automatically each year, and we will notify you of any price increases in advance. Cancel auto-renewal at any time."This year I receive an email telling me the renewal is £64. Scandalous, I know. But I can cancel it at any time. It says so.However, try to cancel it!! Oh, my f****** god. 1) There's nowhere online or in the app to just cancel the subscription. Options are call, email, or fill out the online form.2) I fill out the online form and get an email to call them or click the button on the left of the account page to cancel. Nope. that doesn't exist.3) More emails from me to them requesting to "JUST CANCEL IT" - No response. I have a time limit to get this cancelled before they use my credit card details again. How do you block a company with your bank that already has your card details and haven't yet taken payment?4) Another email - including the new CEO Anna Jones. Hoping that she's got the nous to realise that this practice is harming her company. Eventually I get into an online chat with "Beckie" (Same person sending the emails - probably a generic name) who is trying to see what offers she can persuade me with…. THERE'S NOT A CHANCE OF ME EVER USING THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING THAT ISN'T TOILET RELATED!!!My account has now been closed. Thank you, 'Beckie'. What a horrible job you must have. A GDPR RTBF request to remove my data has been given. Let’s see if that works.JUST DON'T!! EVER!
