Very poor service

Very poor service. I came to return an item because the size doesn’t fit my son. We ordered another instead which is fine. I was told I have post it or get exchange. Then I said okay and started to look for something which was not my plan to buy. Again I was told to find something in order to match the price of the item I was exchanging. I got an item and was told to pay extra for the price of it, paid. Then they told me the item which I paid cash will as exchange also. I couldn’t understand why but no one could explain, all they could say was company policy. I spent long time to comply with what I was told. As I was waiting they ignored me and serving 2 other customers whom came as I was waiting. This is ridiculous. It is common to return any product that has a receipt in store anywhere in the UK. Big question mark.
