Review of crocoblock
Today, I made a purchase on crocoblock.com for $450. Unfortunately, I never received the service I paid for. Even though they charged my card in full, sometime later I received an email asking for my CARD DETAILS under the premise that their company needed this information for some "anti-fraud" procedures. I used this card daily, including the purchase of many digital products. Never had any issues.I reached out to my bank and their employee clearly warned me not to disclose any information with merchants as legit merchants don't need this information to process any transactions. He advised me to share the transaction number with them instead along with a receipt. Which I did, with no follow-up from crocoblocks / jetplugins' side.Their support went absolutely silent on me, sparking the feeling of anxiety and despair. Once I finally managed to get a reply in the chat support, a person named "Anastasiia" offered to contact me via the phone for "anti-fraud" procedures. I refused politely and asked a few times to issue a refund. After some time she agreed to "talk to a financial department". An hour later, she "approved" a refund and warned me that it might take 1-2 business days or more to get my money back.No refund as of today. Feels like I was robbed. Sitting here thinking what a stupid mistake I made by dealing with them. Also found a similar story here just now. Scary, unlawful, and a waste of time. Avoid.Update:I did receive a refund in full the following day after the incident. I'll keep this review to warn others. Keep in mind that their policy is unlawful. Their business is not compliant with PCI DSS standards and you are exposing your funds at your own risk. Don't do this. Don't encourage shady business practices. Vote with your hard-earned money against this. Luckily, better offers are out there.Update 2:So far I had 2 requests from the TrustPilot team in 7 day period to confirm that I was a "legit" customer. Those requests were initiated by the CrocoBlock team, claiming that I left a dishonest review and that I was not a legitimate customer. This is how the CrocoBlock team removes negative feedback on platforms like TrustPilot - they bombard legitimate customers with receipt and email requests, making them spend time and effort to prove something obvious. This explains their inflated rating. They make you WORK to share your negative experiences and dissatisfaction with their policies. Instead of addressing issues, they want to spend their time and energy on cover-ups. Only further proves the point - do not deal with them if you don't want your time to be wasted.
