I quite like duolingo

I quite like duolingo. I don't dislike the hearts - makes me concentrate better sometimes. I don't mind the ads - if that means it's free. What I don't like is getting a 'free 3 day trial of super duo' from time to time. I don't mind it being offered to me but I should be able to politely decline. I have my learning strategy based on the free version. Having super duo foisted on me without my consent is bad enough. Telling me it's a free gift makes me very angry.

Buyer beware when using DoorDash.com

Buyer beware when using DoorDash.com! Excessive default tip amounts, and no recourse for poor service. I typically give pretty generous tips. However, this is the 2nd time, I think, that the DD payment process automatically defaulted an amount 2x as much as I typically tip. This was NOT immediately visible in the screen layout, so I did not see an opportunity to adjust it. This was AFTER I decided to pay the $2.99 extra to have the food delivered directly to me (no side-trips for other customers). I did not see until too late that the excessive tip was locked in. So for a $30 meal I was charged over $52.00! Then, the driver used a route that went about as far out of the way as possible, so the $2.99 was of no benefit to me. There is no opportunity for recourse, so you’re just out of luck! There should be a way to tip or adjust the tip after the service is provided, not get stuck with a bad experience with no recourse.Be CAREFUL when you complete your orders, that DD doesn’t pick your pocket!

the site has now updated to stop add blocker, you cannot even read a story without adds popping up, I would say 80% of the web site is adds and unreadabletime to go to other papers that let you read the news with less adds

Do Not Trust Wells Fargo!

Please repost this on all your social media accounts. Help spread the word to prevent any of your friends or family from getting scammed by Wells Fargo!All I asked WF is to properly subtract my entire principal payment from the balance like they should have done on the date of payment. Wells Fargo is trying to commit fraud again! All I asked them to do was fix this so-called mistake and they refused. They just gave me the run around! No idea what they did????? All I know is WF is charging me interest on my incorrect balance!By accepting the principal payment and having it printed on the receipt, WF entered to an agreement to accept the principal payment! I should have been not been told it would go towards my balance if it was not going to be at the time of the deposit! Principal payments go directly towards the balance only, not interest!Principal payment is simple math. The entire principal is subtracted from the balance only! They do not need to contact me to confuse the situation or try and convince me what they did is correct! This is not the first time Wells Fargo has done questionable activities, in fact there is a Netflix (Dirty Money) special just on Wells Fargo illegal activities. This is why they have commercials that state: earning your trust back.... I pay a hefty premium that goes up…

I pay a hefty premium that goes up every year and yet I'm now watching 6 f'ing ads every time I want to watch one or two shows that come out worth watching. "Free Shipping" but they jack up the price to the same price I pay for shipping by buying something direct from a store. Where's the value? None.

First time shopper and will NEVER return!!!

Would give 0 stars if possible. Horrible customer service. 1st time shopper and will NEVER return. Store could burn down and I'll roast marshmallows over the flames. To start their website states that if you order on a Sunday items ship by Tuesday. Then when placing my order tax stated 5$ but right before giving my CC information, tax jumped to 10$. If I would not have looked I would have never notice the extra charge. Next issue is when I called to inquire why my item has not shipped within the time frame stated by MACY'S and is still "processing" I was told its because of high volume due to the holiday but will be shipped out 12/9/2020. Was not shipped out so I called again on 12/11/2020 inquiring where is my order and again told it will ship out today. I even asked if I could switch it to in-store pick up and was told "it's too late". I received notice at 7:52 AM on 12/12/2020 stating it was just shipped out and I have to wait a week for it. Very disappointed. They took my money right then and there but me (the customer) has to wait or gripe to get anything done. Being a multi-million dollar store, I expected more. WILL NOT REFER ANYONE TO SHOP MACY'S!!!!!
