If you're a business don't use Amazon as a supplier

We're an IT company, and we do not recommend using amazon as a supplier. We purchased an APC UPS unit which started generating a fault tone after 3 months. A full discharge & charge seemed to alleviate, but 3 months later, the battery completely failed. We then identified that there was a serial number mismatch with what we logged on our system (scanned from the barcode on the box) with the serial number on the unit. Yes, we should have validated that they were the same upon installation, this was an oversight from us. This situation strongly suggests this item was a customer return where the serial number was not validated upon receipt, it was not properly tested, it was repackaged & resold. I reported this to Amazon, but several customer services representatives were unable to help me because it fell outside the 30-day return window. They told me to speak to the manufacturer, who won't help me because the product I received is not in warranty. They refused to escalate the issue as a breach of trading standards and were unable to offer any other alternative escalation path.

Parler is experiencing massive sign in…

Parler is experiencing massive sign in and sign up inquiries which in turn is slowing down its servers. I got past the captcha part after about 2 to 3 minutes of just letting it cycle through the system.

Review of mcafee

Horrible Customer Service

This was last purchased on a credit card from 2020, which my late husband had. He purchased this for our daughter when she went away to college. We always had our own bank accounts at different banks, as he was self employed. Now how this auto renewed on an expired card from 2020 from my paypal account, which he was never part of and taken from my bank account is beyond me. McAfee states that they pulled it from the bank that the credit card was linked to, which was closed almost 2 years now and only in his and daughters name. I had to go in and update the payment in my profile to the credit card belonging to may bank linked to paypay to get the refund. Customer Service also stated it would be refunded to my credit card, wrong just get a text the refund is coming thru Paypal. Now their customer service people hung up on me three times, called me by the wrong name, and talked down to me the entire phone call. Well be so happy to not have their service any more.

Review of deepl

Ist that the final Goodby to DeepL?

English: DeepL used to be the preferable alternative to Google translate. However, recently I have noticed that (at least on the free version) the quality has dropped considerably. Also unlike Google the operators give a damn on improving the system's capabilities. Google permits corrections to be put forward. Additionally DeepL has recently introduced a rdicolously low character limit per day. One cannot help thinking the product ceased to be useful as a free tool.Upgrading to the Pro Version by paying for the product, was a thought, but given the company's unprofessional antics, I feel it would be a bad idea.Translation quality in general: I am fluent in German, English, French, Spanish and Italian which I regularly use.The drawback with Google always was (and is): Translations between language couples other than English, are always executed via English, beiieve it or not (there are some exceptions)Now I've thought that DeepL could do better. But it can't. The only advantage, DeepL had, was that it applied A.I. in a more dedicated and aggressive manner than Google. But that comes at a high price. It consists in translation errors, text omissions etc., that are absent in Google that opts for a less creative, but safer method. So DeepL is recommended for professional translators only who desire to save time on typing. Every damn sentence has to be checked for errors. But the following applies: Both Google and DeepL are trained to spot parallel professionally translated documents they integrate in their database. So occasionally one can be lucky and hit one of those goldmines. But you never know how far the coverage extends. That's the risk there is.

Review of songkick

Skeptical at first

I was very skeptical at first as I had bought two tickets from Songkick to Sam Smith's concert and another two from a different website. The tickets from the other website arrived almost a month and a half earlier than Songkick's. But essentially, I did receive it.

Underfilled bag of split peas

My bag of split peas said thirteen 1/4 cup servings...Why did the bag only contain nine 1/4cups?? When making food for a family of four...It would've been nice to recieve the amount of food I thought was being purchased in the bag.😒😒😒 Other than miss measurements of food,I have had great friendly service from the employees of Food4Less on Parthenia and Woodley in North Hills,CA!

Review of jotform

Simple and Powerful!

Jotform is an incredibly simple yet powerful tool to get the exact information you need and organize that information that will speed up your processes by a ton. I use and check on my forms everyday. They have also included an app option that is very helpful as well. The autoformatting of the form fields and conditionals are what really made me choose Jotform over any other service.

NOT secure

Been a paying customer for many years - never had good customer service, but I didn't need it much so it wasn't a big problem. Now for no reason, no explanation - they just deleted my account.Everything gone.

Review of salesforce

Let's launch a class action against Salesforce

Stay away of Salesforce at all cost! This company is the worst I have ever worked with in more than 30 years! After 5 years, we have not been able to use Salesforce a single day. After reading all the bad comments below, I am really wondering why a class action has not been started before. We have signed a contract in 2016 with Salesforce (big mistake: for 5 years!). They promised me that the subcontractor they provided (Orbcom) would implement Salesforce for us in less than 2 months although what we do is complex and we had doubts. The Salesforce salesrep (Jean-Louis Vanhack) was very dynamic at answering that everything was under control. After some months (and a first immediate bill from Salesforce and many from the subcontractor), we started to understand that the deadline would never be held and despite all our efforts to make them finish the implementation they never did and finally disappear after 2 ½ years, leaving us with tens of thousands paid to them and nothing usable. No help was received from Salesforce, just bills and the information that they are not responsible of what their contractor do. Their employees were changing every 3 months and we had contacts with at least 25 to 30 different people since 2016.Finally, a new Salesforce employee, Marcel Schwob, appeared and told us that he had THE solution, he directed us to a company called Salesfive (another of these subcontractors), which promised to finalize everything in 2 months. We had doubts and this time we joined to the contract a very detailed description of what was needed. They confirmed that it was possible for the defined deadline and price. After some months, they started saying that it was more complicated than they thought and they asked us to pay more than the contractual amount agreed (saying that we were asking more, which was not true and very well defined in our contract). We refused and asked them to continue according to the contract because we had spent a lot of time explaining what we needed and the documents were very clear. Finally, they stopped the process after completing more or less 80% of the project without informing us that they had stopped their work. We were left with nothing usable without answers from both Salesforce and Salesfive, which finally confirmed that they had stopped the implementation 6 months before and told us that Salesforce was supporting them about it.We found out that although we pay Salesforce, they had just acted against our interest to keep a good relation with their subcontractor.Since then, we are fighting to be reimbursed for this lost year but they not only refused but put our bill in collection. I spoke today with their Senior Corporate Counsel, George Yu, who like so many others made me lose my time by stating that it was all our fault (a very special client approach that seems to be shared by so many in this company).Well, the next step is to gather other companies and start a class action (as they already have one ongoing because of a databreach). Salesforce needs to learn that a client is more than a wallet!

Review of justgiving

JustGiving "No fee" but compulsory minimum 10% tip!!

JustGiving presents itself as "No fee for charity donations" and then it charges a compulsory MINIMUM 10% tip for their services (they start with a higher suggested tip that you can reduce - if you see the slider). They may as well call it a fee (but then they probably get taxed and perhaps not or less on donations??). Misleading and dishonest....
