Review of kraken

Not a good experience

I couldn't complete one transaction with Kraken. I opened an account with Kraken on the advice of a friend and then funded the account w/a transfer from my bank. Even before I could complete my first transaction I was notified that my account was being closed, and that for "security purposes", they couldn't tell me why. It was strange. It's as if a cop pulls you over, writes you a ticket, but you're given no information as to what you did wrong. My money got tied up for a couple days but they eventually released it back to me.

Review of kraken

Non existent customer service

Non existent customer service. Contacted customer support, sent emails and used live chat. All to be either ignored or just sent automatic replies that aren’t even remotely helpful and just left unable to access my account. Avoid at all costs. Update: Ticket # 15093998Update 2: even with providing a ticket number I still haven’t received any communication. Absolutely a waste of time. Please anyone reading this review DO NOT use kraken. There is literally 0 possibility of resolving any issue or talking to an actual person.

Review of mailchimp

Incompetent and disrespectful.

Expensive, doesn't work as intended, customer service is disrespectful and even mocks you. I pay over $80/month for a plan that includes automations. I set up an automation to unsubscribe people who haven't opened my last 50 emails. Apparently I'm told it was my mistake and this automation doesn't apply to automation emails. Like how the F am I supposed to know that? The rep did not take this seriously at all. This automation has unsubscribed almost 1,000 subs!!!! This has cost me money and they don't care at all. Instead they blame me and tell me to submit feedback to the development team. Ridiculous! I'm switching as soon as I can.

Review of live

Economy of failure

Not one but two of my past email addresses were lost in the transition from hotmail to outlook. Many contacts irrevocably lost and the only communication is a screen you get when you try and login unsuccesfully saying 'User does not exist'. After multiple attempts and disbelief I have given up trying to retrieve my old data. Is that how you treat customers?!Instead I have decided to boycott Microsoft and all Microsoft services, and dissuade any potential clients and business partners to abandon or avoid using them entirely.

Review of bigcommerce

BigCommerce Crashed My Website

After installing and activating the BigCommerce plugin (WordPress) my entire website immediately crashed. I could no longer access my dashboard. After contacting the BigCommerce customer support and explaining what happened, I was told that I should've read the disclaimer before installing their product and they refused to offer me any further assistance because I didn't have an account with them! I lost my entire website after installing BigCommerce!! I would never use or recommend them to anyone that I liked.

I ordered about 10 small items. Temu sent them all in the same package. The quality was what they said it would be, which was not too bad. The package arrived when they said it would. It was my first buy from Temu, I am very happy with them.

Review of oculus

Oculus is literally the worst company…

Oculus is literally the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. They’ve absolutely no support every time I send an email it just says we’ve made note there’s no way to reach them on the phone and the live chat is absolutely useless could not even understand my problem much less solve it. Nobody should buy this VR because you can’t use it if something goes wrong because there is absolutely zero support the fact of the same age you don’t have a number that you can reach out to to fix your situation is an absolute joke

Review of Microsoft

I am the owner of a Microsoft Surface…

I am the owner of a Microsoft Surface Book. Turns out the Surface Book is a piece of junk. Keys are falling off and functionality is diminishing. No surprise then that it is no longer being sold. I had Assure for 24/7 phone support. Turns out that was cancelled even while I was still paying for it. Unscrupulous. Unconscionable conduct. May your share price plummet to reflect how badly you treat people who have bought your products. Evil deception has no place in customer service!

Way too expensive to not operate on it's own. Very disappointed that you have to link it to your handheld in order for it to work.

Review of envato

Stay away from Envato

I recently encountered a highly frustrating situation with Envato, where my account was banned and all my licenses were revoked without any explanation. Despite reaching out to their customer support for clarification, I received no response or assistance. I am concerned about the legality of their actions and disappointed by the lack of support. Envato's handling of this issue and poor customer service have left me feeling let down.

Review of duolingo

Works okay but too little teaching and QC so gets irritating

I used paid (super) Duolingo daily for a year to learn French but recently ditched it after getting increasingly frustrated until it was clear it had become more pain than gain for me. It has many good aspects - the motivating gamification, clear progress, the ease of use and relatively glitch-free. I also liked the comments section and easy feedback/reporting function for possible mistakes for each exercise. While I could afford to pay to avoid the ad version, l like that they aim at being free (though it appears they are making the free version more horrible). What I don't like about Duolingo is their insufficient grammar and lesson guides/tips, combined with their insufficient QC. Duo can self-promote their method all they like but it will never convince me it is superior to teaching WITH explanation, tips and clarification. Too much wasted time bumbling about because you arn't helped to understand or remember the language rules (ie well-established memory chunking methods). The comments section for each exercise serves a vital gap-fill function in this respect because you can often read answers and tips - by volunteers - to your burning questions - as well as realising you are not alone in being confused. Unfortunately, Duolingo is no longer updating the comments section. Comments are all old and locked and many of the lessons now have no comments at all. It appears they are doubling down on their 'no teaching' approach to language learning. This brings me to the other aspect that I found very annoying - the insufficient quality control. You can see in the comments that Duolingo quite often has not included ALL the correct ways of translating a sentence before they upload a lesson and they rely too much on feedback to correct this. Given how huge Duolingo is i find it harder to forgive the number of omissions or mistakes they appear to make in their translations. While occasionally Duolingo makes translations that native speakers and fluent volunteers disagree with, the most common problem seems to be leaving out some correct translations - like only including the 'vous' and not the 'tu' version. Sometimes of course there may be good reasons for this but since Duolingo is committed to the cost-cutting minimalist teaching method there is no way you will ever find out if there are no comments. This becomes more of a problem as the language learning gets more complicated. Too often I could not tell if I didn't understand a rule or Duo had made a mistake or ommission. And even if you 'report'an issue you don't get a response and you definitely won't get any change on Duo in a useful timespan for your own lesson progress. In this context, i became really irritated by having to press a 'Got it' button - when way too often that was exactly the opposite of where i was at. Like your captor forcing you to say 'i love you' every day (yet so easily avoided with neutral labelling). I have just started using another well-regarded but much smaller language app - which has many other positive aspects that Duo does not, like grammar and actually useful tips - but i have already noticed they have similar problems with translation rigidities. So I am now seriously wondering whether the payoff from language apps is worth it. I suspect it is - as long as it is not your main method for learning and measuring your progress. Then their flaws won't be so important or irritating.
