I previously complained about bad customer service but two people finally reached out. They were very nice and found a not perfect but good enough solution.(My games still counted as losses but I lost no rating points) So instead of claiming bad customer service let's just say alie to respond but great when they finally do. I will now consider renewing when I expire because it is a great place to play and learn chess.

There was a weather red alert issued while we were traveling to our destination. A few calls to friends who lived at the destination advised us to turn back as there were road blocks and terrible weather. The hotel staff also advised us to be extremely cautious due to the bad weather. We called Agoda who then called the hotel manager. Manager said that the weather is great and refused cancellation. Even though there were clear news reports and warnings for the area, Agoda refused cancellation. Do not use Agoda, terrible service!!

I did delivery for the first time with Kroger’s. I ordered the day before scheduled for the next morning between 8-9am as I had other things going on starting at 10am. A conference call that would last an hour and errands after that. By 11:30am other then an early morning text notification of substitutes I heard nothing. I called the store I ordered from. They said they do not do deliveries it would of gone to another store which she gave me the number too. I called them. They did not have it in the system and passed me around to 3 different people. Finally I asked if they would leave it at my door and the fellow said yes just place a note on there. So when I ran to do my errands I did that. I was on my way home and stopped for coffee. My phone rang a number I did not know I assumed it was them. I got a text shortly asking for the code. I gave it he texted it wasn’t working said he was at the gate which I told him not he needs to go to the front door. Explain how to do the gate code and direction to my condo. I turned in my street got to my building and no one was outside. I parked and by the time I got in and brought in the groceries I got a text it was done. I understand things come up and they can run late. I don’t have a problem with that as long as the keep their customers informed which they did not. The other thing is they don’t seemed organized if they have no record of my groceries after they pack them. The meats while still a little cool could of gone bad if they had been driving around all morning with them. The packing was nothing more the placing them in their plastic bags individually wrapped. Fortunately I did not get milk. I thought I’d give them a try since they were my favor store in the area I use to live. Moving to another part of the city with the uptake in covid I decide to have it delivered. It doesn’t help that I had a home delivery from fresh on amazon and Friday and it was delivered with cold things packed in freeze bags and delivered within the time frame requested. I think if I use delivery again I will use them. This experience kinda puts me off about shopping in store with Kroger’s now.

I recently booked a home on a small private lake, planning a nice getaway with my fiance for a few days. I found what I thought was a nice spot in rural Wisconsin, and after asking the host some questions, booked it. The property did not disclose its pet policy, and because we were to be traveling with our dog, I sent the host a message asking what their policy was. The response I received from the host stated that pets were allowed, and It would be a $40 fee. The host, Brian, stated that he would give me a $50 back due to the fact that it was a last minute booking. Great, I am ten dollars ahead. I then made the reservation, I was greeted with a six page contract, asking me to waive liability insurance, and outlining my liability. Not a big deal. I was instructed to provide a copy of my drivers license, I found this odd as I have never been asked this before, but I complied. I was then asked to provide credit card information outside the app. This did not make sense to me because I thought at that point that Brian owed me $10. He explained that he still needed to charge me the $40 for the pet fee, and would reimburse the $50 after my stay. This made me uncomfortable, and I expressed this to Brian, offering to pay him cash on arrival. Brian became insulting and demeaning, upset that I would question the fact that he was requiring credit card information. I finally felt uncomfortable speaking to him as his messages were harassing, and referred the issue to Vrbo support. Vrbo support took several days to make any progress and I received further harassing emails from the host. He would only communicate via email, even when I messaged him on the app. On May 9th I called Vrbo suport to get an update because of the harassing emails that were still coming in. I was told verbally that Brian had broken the policy, and I would be able to cancel and get a refund for the trip (almost $400). Later that day I received an email from Anthony with Vrbo resolutions stating that because Brian was now willing to take payment through Vrbo, they were not going to cancel the reservation or provide a refund. Further, I was told it was their duty to protect their host's. When asked why the health and safety of their guests was not their priority, they could not string together a meaningful answer. At this point I was defeated, and I moved on. I accepted the fact that I was going to lose $400 because I did not feel safe going to Brian's property. I contacted him a final time, pleading with him to allow us to part ways, and asking for reimbursement and cancelation. He responded by becoming more demeaning, upset that I contacted Vrbo about the issue. Throughout this he bashed Vrbo, accusing them of cheating customers, and acting as if he was the only honest person involved in the transaction. On May 10th Brian contacted me after I stopped responding to his messages with a religious rant, telling me: "So, I guess you are not a Christian then?? Then you have a much bigger problem than not being happy with this reservation....Jesus said, whoever loves Me will KNOW AND KEEP My commands (Jn 14:21) and, whoever SAYS he knows Me but does not do what I command, is a LIAR and there is no truth in him. (1 Jn 2:4)And, if you are godless my friend, so will your wife be as "birds of a feather..." and, not only are you putting yourself first in everything, so will she. And so will your precious children. So, I urge you to get right with Christ today because, as He warns us to worry about today as today has enough worries of its own. And if you are not living for Christ (and I think it is obvious by your words that you are not!), then the greatest need you have is to humble yourself and give your life to Christ, while you still can."I again contacted Vrbo support, pleading with them to allow me to cancel and recoup some fees, they agreed this behavior was discriminatory, harassing, and went against Vrbo policy. At the end of my 25 minute conversation with support I was advised that they would reach out to Brian, and he would be verbally warned for breaking policy. I was then advised to block his email to keep from seeing his harassing emails. But still, no cancellation, no refund would be possible. So in all of this even though Brian continues to break policy and harass me, Vrbo has continued to side with him, and is trying to force me to go to a property where I feel unsafe. The host of this property is manipulative, if not unstable, and has done a great job talking his way out of this situation and getting Vrbo to have his back. A quick search of Brian's social media reveals an abundance of far right wing extremist content all available for public viewing. This is never a place where I could go and feel safe or comfortable. I feel let down, discriminated against as a person who is not Christian, and overall disregarded by Vrbo staff.
