Thumbtack has been AMAZING!!!

Thumbtack has been AMAZING! I recently purchased a new home and was able to find contractors to fix windows, repairs floors, and paint my kitchen cabinets. The estimates received were very reasonable and a lot cheaper than commercial businesses.

DO NOT USE this company! Absolute joke. Poor guidance, timeslots not kept, insufficient info given and overall lack of professionalism. Spent hours on the phone. Sent to the wrong drop off place, wong label given, uncertainty of their own T&C just to mention a few incidents..

Quite possibly the WORST email system …

Quite possibly the WORST email system I've ever had to deal with. About to go and change after doing this review, despite the hassle I'll have to go through. It won't allow you to move all emails from one sender at the same time without having to go through and manually tick every box. It starts to sweep and block then pops up a message saying it's unable to do it EVERY SINGLE TIME I ATTEMPT TO DO THIS. Can't even send a short email to a friend with just one photo attached without getting a message telling me it's too big - how pathetic is that! Settings are difficult to find and very lacking in choice. Some mail arrives in my inbox and some in my junk folder, FROM THE SAME SENDER. So sick and tired of this email system which always leaves me frustrated, annoyed, and angry!!!

Disposable expensive watches

Bought the premium model 6x pro solar saphir. Paid over 700 euros. 6 months later battery overheated and burnt my wrist. Garmin was afraid I would sue and changed the watch in 48h. No question asked. 1 year later the new watch has one button not working and does not charge anymore. Pure garbage for such an expensive device. Don’t buy Garmin

Door Dasher stole my food

Ordered a few items for lunch via DoorDash today. Driver picked up the order and then messaged me to tell me he accidentally delivered food to another location. Then he showed up at my building so he could get credit from DoorDash for the delivery. The receipt shows he didn't even get the items I ordered, but different items that were for himself. This is not the first time a Dasher has ripped me off. I contacted DoorDash, but you can't get a real person. I got a credit, but that's a ding on my account AND the driver gets away with theft. All of their drivers are thieves and junkies and DoorDash doesn't care.

Roku shipped from US to UK by Amazon

Ordered a Roku to be shipped from US to UK. I upgraded the delivery so it would arrive in time for Christmas. The item turned up on the 27th and was displayed as delivered without a signature. On return from holiday we eventually found the item stuffed underneath a car. The Roku had been left out in the snow and ice for 4 days.

Appalling customer serviceAppalling customer service. I had issues with myuber one account so decided to cancel my membership I was then offered a promotional offer of 90% off for 3 months with £1.50 due to be taken on 13th June. Yesterday I was sent an email asking me to update my payment despite there being no issue with it. The payment would not update despite trying numerous times and also trying a different credit card. I reached out to the online help but kept getting pointless answers back which did not relate or help resolve the issue. The payment update was finally accepted last night but £4.99 payment had now been taken instead of £1.50 as per the promotional offer applied to my account. I have sent numerous messages to the help online support but I’m getting nowhere, despite sending screenshots of the offer on my account. They just keep staying that Uber one membership is £4.99 a month ignoring the fact that I was offered 90% off for 3 months. It’s evidently just a scam to take another full months membership! I have now cancelled my membership. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS They have caused me nothing but stress and wasted so much of my time

I ordered a meal with home delivery and received it after a very long wait of over 30 minutes, completely cold and inedible, when I filed a complaint I was informed that I had to wait up to 24 hours for it to be considered, so to sum up I will go to work hungry

Do not buy from them

Do not buy from them. Anything. Ever. Ordered a Crayon because offered with a Notability subscription. Asked after purchase where is my code, was told would get it only after shipping, to make sure I do not cancel my order and keep the subscription (£15 worth, btw). That much for trust when I trusted them to buy a £80 piece of plastic.I wanted the subscription to start on the 1st, so just directly subscribed and cancelled the order, 5 minutes after placing it. After the weekend got an email that they are still shipping the product to me. Got in touch with customer service - can't cancel shipping, I have to either refuse the delivery or return it. They don't have any contact details for complaints. "Give us your details and we'll email/call you." Time wasters. Zero respect for anyone's time.Their commitment to customer service? Total BS. Their sustainability goals? Bigger BS.

Kevin and Nehemiah with the Support Team were amazing not only in terms of their technical expertise but, more rarely seen, in their proactive, patient, collaborative and genuinely caring approach to my concerns. In tag-team style, they were with me off-and-on from 8:28 am until nearly midnight. I didn't get the "answer" I'd hoped for, but I learned so much from them during the day that I understood why the "wrong" answer was the "right" answer. Gentlemen, I am deeply appreciative. By way of contrast, I have been locked out of my hosting service for 10 days. I've seen no progress or solutions from them. Their responses are rarely same-day and contain requests for info I've already provided. These responses arrive anonymously from The Compliance Team, nameless people who seem not to have read my ticket or the emails I've sent.

I purchased a laptop from dell online

I purchased a laptop from dell online. Out of the box, the HDMI port was defective and wouldn’t allow me to plug any hdmi cables into it. I reached out to Dell and their customer service was awful. Took forever to reach them and then they said they would have to reach back out to me and never did. Then when I called back over a week later they said that they did call me back and I declined any service, which never happened. And after all this they told me the hdmi port, which was defective out of the box, was not covered with my warranty so I would have to pay them to fix it.
