Review of hotels

BEWARE!!

I have used Hotels.com several times in the past with no issues. I had to book in Canada and the ad said specifically in Canadian funds including taxes and other fees. When I got my bill it was $100 more because they said it had to be paid in US funds. Tried calling customer service and they would not do anything about it. I checked on the Better Business Bureau site and this is what it said : 1.5/5 stars and 2,056 complaints closed in last 3 years, 561 complaints closed in last 12 months. BEWARE OF THIS SITE!!

Review of wellsfargo

No human interaction - worst customer service

We had a $350K homeowners mortgage with Wells Fargo until yesterday. Obviously requiring wind and flood insurance which we of course took out. Our insurance documentation showed the Wells Fargo as a lienholder, so all should be good. Despite this we received several prompts from Wells Fargo last year and again this year asking for proof of insurance. There is a link....mycoverage.com where insurance information can be uploaded and we did that on Jan 21. Received a noreply email on Jan 22 that there was insufficient information, so I reloaded it again in February this time receiving an email that it was in process. "In process" = all should be good, is what I was thinking.We then kept receiving letter that there was no coverage, with no explanation on any details and a phone robot leading to no human being, so we finally went down to a local branch to see if we could get human support.Needless to say that the local branch had no way of helping us. Very nice people but obviously no internal people network in WellsFargo and absolutely no ability to offer any kind of live customer support. The frustration with the letters and knowing that we were paying double on insurance a cost of $10K per year finally triggered us to just write a check and pay of the loan. Luckily we were in a financial to do that. Now the big concern is what other financial surprises we may be in for with WellsFargo and whether the insurance charges will be refunded for the balance of the period. Today after 30 minutes on the phone, going back and forth through an endless maze of option, none offering the option to talk to a live person, I finally lucked out and found some loop in the maze to talk to a live person. In fact I succeeded in getting a very helpful person on the phone who (verbally at least) ensured me that we WellsFargo would cancel the insurance they have taken out. Allegedly we will receive a settlement letter, but let's see. I have zero confidence. All this said we still have a number of smaller accounts with WellsFargo that are helpful in running our business. As a large bank the safety and internet transaction capability is decent and on par with other large bank. In the end I see it as a good bank for small amounts of money. But given the total lack of focus on the customer I would not recommend anyone to take out a mortgage with WellsFargo and certainly not place a financial portfolio of any size with this bank. Too dangerous

LastPass sets a new standard for clunky UIs. I've spent hours trying to share a password and still cannot do it. Their own documentation shows a sharing icon which does not appear on the password I'm trying to share! The other icons do but not the sharing icon. This is just one of the terrible human interface decisions made in the disaster that is LastPass.Avoid like the plague! LastPass forces you to send passwords insecurely.

Amazing, but a bit of guilt-tripping.

The amount of things I have seen on change.org that I have genuinely had a panic attack about in terms of global crisis’s is too many to count. The only part I find discomforting or upsetting to me is how many times the ‘chip in’ pops up. I am physically unable to lend money to a cause currently, and won’t be able to for some time, and despite my understanding that the multiple reminders/suggestions is to try to spread awareness as much as possible, it makes me feel guilty for not being able to do more.

I would not recommend the brow bar

I would not recommend the brow bar. I had a 1:00 pm appointment today and I arrived early. I live 30 minutes away and I like to arrive early to my appointments because I respect others time. I went inside to see if the brow specialist could take me earlier IF she had availability. She said she couldn’t so I said, “ok, no problem I was just checking. I’ll just walk around until then.” She seemed bothered and not very polite in that moment. But I just brushed it off. I came back at 12:57 and she had someone in the chair and she was JUST starting their brows. She asked me if I had an appointment as if she’d never seen me before and I said, yes at 1:00 PM( as we previously discussed) She then told me to walk around the store that she would be about 10-15 minutes. I requested that she cancel my appointment. What is the purpose of me making an appointment if it is not going to be honored. As I walked away I could hear her discussing it with the client she took in MY place. Nathalia R was very dismissive and if this is the way that Ulta allows their employees to treat their patrons then I will not be one of them.

Aside from being a high-quality product, the customer service staff is very technologically savvy, helping me troubleshoot through complex issues with a final sound solution! They actually "get it", unlike other tech support agents reading from a script. Five stars, hands down!
