Unreliable and disingenuous.I sent a request for information for a kitten in Killeen, TX just over ago. The information on Petfinder stated the kitten was at Killeen Animal Services. After no response through Petfinder, I emailed the shelter. They stated they had no kitten named Fraulein nor any kitten that matched the description. I stopped by the shelter and I was told the kitten was adopted out over 3 months ago. I emailed Petfinder last Wednesday and the kitten is still listed as available on the app. The shelter stated they have has many issues and complaints about Petfinder listing animals that are unavailable and not updating the listings.
My name is AriannaIf I could give them 0 stars I would have. I filled out so many applications with Petfinder, IDR, and Recently Crisis Dogs NC and my application was submitted and denied. I believe it’s because my Neighbor asked a question about breeding her dog which has nothing to do with me. My dog passed away last year and my life became lonely and I wanted to adopt a puppy to feel alive again but here is what IDR message says and my response to IDR.Island Dog Rescue Responds:Thank you for your interest in Jax. I noticed that size was a concern with a previous pup, and Jax is actually quite a bit larger. Scotch is adopted.After discussing with the IDR team, we feel that based on your needs, including the recent conversations about breeding and your upcoming surgery, our rescue may not be the best fit for what you’re looking for at this time. For these reasons, we’ve decided to cancel your application and will not be moving forward with any adoptions.We truly appreciate your understanding, and we wish you all the best in finding the right companion.Thank you for considering us. My Response to Them: First off I was not the one asking about breeding a dog that was my Neighbor and because I was going to get surgery should not been an issue with adopting a dog. I feel like I was being Judged about a conversation that had nothing to do with me. I will find the right companion. Thank you
Horrible all these dogs but nobody emails or calls you back I have a yard i have always owned dogs and I cannot get a response Fanabala all creatures sanctuary Rochester N.Y . Rescue pups in friendship N.Y How do you want these dogs adopted when you refuse to email or call anyone back my friends and family have reached out and nothing. So here it goes Get a purebred your guaranteed that puppy or dog and your not waiting on these "Rescues" that either don't have time or there a scam. And then you have all these sad stories but you don't call or email anyone that wants to offer a wonderful loving home to one of your dogs. Shame on you
Email ignored for a week, I googled the name of the adoption people and wrote another....was requested to fill out application and strung along via unanswered and half answered messages to tell me I'm not a good fit because I am male. I suppose they (All creatures big and small) prefers lesbian pet owners. Wasting my time for over a week when I could have looked elsewhere but did not feel it would be fair to apply for more than 1 pet at a time preventing someone else from getting one I would pass on if I were to get the other. PETFINDER needs to better screen their adoption groups. The person I dealt with is a man hater obviously. I have already had a dog for 14 years that was adopted and did not like males. I was just given the biggest run around for adopting a dog I have ever had. Steer clear of these groups, go get a pet from any other source to avoid the BS.
I have no clue why I had to fill out very extensive personal info only to find I NEVER HEARD back from anyone about adopting a cat. I filed 5x each for 5 cats and NEVER heard a thing back after 2 weeks. I don't know if it a site to scam people for personal info, but I truly wanted to adopt one of the 5 cats....NOTHING heard back.
I filled out a very intrusive application, as much info as a bank or credit card. Compassion Kind Foundation simply rejected my request to visit the paired dogs with no valid reason. The dogs are still up for adoption. This is an info scamming setup as I immediately received multiple daily robo calls and spam email after the application.
