Review of perplexity
I recently had a very frustrating experience with Perplexity that I feel compelled to share. I received a promotional offer for 1 year of free access to their AI tool, which normally costs $240. Naturally, I was excited about this opportunity and eagerly accepted the offer. However, the very next day, I was informed that the offer had been canceled because it was "only for another country." There was no prior indication of any geographical restrictions when I received the offer, and the sudden cancellation felt like a bait-and-switch tactic. This lack of transparency and poor communication is unacceptable. It’s incredibly disappointing to be given an offer, only to have it taken away without a valid explanation or apology. It feels unprofessional and disrespectful to customers who trust your brand. To make matters worse, I had already made plans to integrate their tool into my workflow, and this cancellation disrupted my progress. I expected better from a company that claims to value its customers.I hope Perplexity.ai takes this feedback seriously and improves its communication and promotional practices. Until then, I cannot recommend their services in good faith.

Review of google
I would give help from Google a zero if I could. I was called, unsolicited by me, right before the holidays to optimize a campaign that was already working well. I was told and guided to do a number of things in a Performance Max campaign to improve the ads. It was apparent within a week that their, "help" tanked my ROAS by about 2/3. I asked to have it reverted and was told it had to stay for another week to mature. I consented and it tanked even further. I contacted the rep to have it reversed and she (Vasantha) ghosted me. I contacted Google for help and was told they don't help with Performance Max campaigns and just pointed to info to do it on my own. So they can call to screw up your campaigns, but won't help when I wanted it reverted to a campaign that was working much better previously. They also took two ads that were paying for themselves and had me make changes that, one of which went to zero ROAS and the other was losing money. This left a very foul taste in my mouth and a big hole in my wallet. Zero stars if I could Google!

This site stinks. There is way to many ads and it just keeps on reloading. I try to watch a show on there can’t even watch the full episode I’ve been trying for days to watch the full thing. This is a joke! They need to put more effort into the site, like seriously are babies controlling this! I don’t recommend it and I hope that daily motion sees these bad reviews and learns from them. So ridiculous! 😡😡😡

Despite protections allowed CHILD purchases online on my account and refused to provide a refund when challenged. Big red flag with this system. Not to mention it loads super slowly to the point of being challenging to use. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Another review echoing many people's sentiments - the setup is essentially a scam. You can subscribe online, but you have to phone up to cancel. You can't cancel online, you can't do it via email, you have to call. Anyway, I cancelled my direct debit because who has time to sit waiting for half an hour on the phone to then listen to a determined sales pitch before being able to cancel? I do not. I cancelled my direct debit on the 1st of March when I noticed the price had gone up - my subscription was the 1st of every month. Roll on the 4th of April, I got a telephone call telling me that I couldn't just cancel my direct debit, I had to call them to cancel my subscription and I owed them £9.69 (where she plucked that value from I don't know, my subscription was £10/month). The lady was very hostile on the phone, and told me that they would keep calling until I cancelled my subscription and paid them this £9.69 that I apparently owed. I told her to put it to me in writing, she asked for my address - surely they should already have it? I refused to give it to her, she said she couldn't verify that she was talking to the billing address person and kept pushing me to give her my address. I did not. She said she would send it out in writing then (why not do that in the first place?) - I've since blocked the 020 number The Times call from.Absolutely shocking service. The lady was hostile, rude and threatening. Not to mention the quality of the newspaper has gone vastly downhill in recent years. Avoid at all costs, not worth the stress and hassle of cancelling.
Review of squarespace
Had no issues with the website I built through Squarespace in 2020(?), and when I no longer needed it, I recall no problems cancelling. However, I kept the domain name for an annual payment. I now no longer require that, and trying to cancel auto renew is ridiculously difficult. The website won't let me log in - page just freezes. Eventually found a way to raise the issue via an online form, and the amount of info they want is crazy. I've had to submit Govt documents, bank statements, dates I created my account and last logged on (four years ago maybe - I can't remember!)- all just because I can't log in. Form finally submitted. Decided to see if anyone else has found this such hard work, and came across these reviews. Now I have no faith that my query will be resolved before next payment is taken. Resorted to phoning my bank and having a block put on Squarespace from taking money from my account. What a ridiculous palava. Seems geared towards making it difficult so you give up, which is exactly what I did last year. Edit - they did get back to me the same day, and problem sorted. Still doesn't excuse the great lengths I had to go to in simply requesting the communication.
Review of gog
I recently discovered GOG delighted to see the classic games I used to play and have missed for years. I ordered some to try and ran into trouble one one of them. I put in a request for support and heard from Falran. What a trooper! He is very patient and helpful! He goes until the last trick! On top of that, he is personable and just all around nice. He is very respectful too. He engages you in conversation.
