BE VERY WARY OF BUYING THROUGH ESHOP ON SWITCH

I've always bought and downloaded the games I own through the eShop on my Switch.I recently bought Trine 5 on the eShop, and after setting it up, I realised (through Reddit!) that Nintendo had omitted some key product information, which meant there were additional costs if I wanted to play it as intended. When speaking to ‘customer service’ for the first time, it’s painfully clear they have no incentive or motivation to help / provide fair sufficient responses. After sending them my screen-share from the Switch eShop, they eventually admitted that there was no way I could’ve known that I couldn’t play two-player without purchasing extra Joy-Cons. Trine 5 is listed with EXACTLY the same information as Nintendo’s other bestselling local multiplayer games like Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. But unlike those games, you have to spend an extra £60 for the same two-player experience. I asked how customers are meant to tell the difference if the official Nintendo eShop doesn't differentiate between two-player games you can play with the included gear, and two-player games where you're required to buy add-on equipment.Gregory from Nintendo customer service said that I should’ve first checked the Nintendo website (and contacted the game’s publisher) before buying from the eShop, on the off-chance that some key product info has been omitted. And on the website, there is indeed a small disclaimer saying that this particular game requires players to purchase an extra set of Joy-Cons for multiplayer. Sure…but there's also no disclaimer on the eShop telling customers to check the Nintendo website before purchasing their products? There is no notice anywhere warning customers that the information on the eShop may be incomplete or inaccurate, and that 'more info can be found on the website'. So again...why would customers question it? The eShop isn’t some black market platform - it’s Nintendo’s official digital shop. You'd be forgiven for trusting the information provided there, surely? But Nintendo say no. The eShop is not the authority, rather the website is. And if you might’ve fallen for it and trusted eShop information as whole and complete, it’s your problem. No refunds, no acknowledgment, no apologies. Truly shocking behaviour from a company I genuinely trusted. I would really recommend Nintendo customers go to CEX, second hand stores or at least buy physical copies of games in future. You have no protection otherwise, and it'd save you the absolute brain rot that is back-and-forth emailing with the Nintendo customer service team.

Review of newegg

Newegg is dead to me

Sad but stay away from Newegg.I am an IT guy, I do IT support for a firm as well as it's clients and staff.I have been buying from Newegg since the beginning, 20 years now and Newegg is lost. It's business model is buy online ship to buyer. Well with Newegg using bottom tier shippers like Laser ship now, the quality and reliability has been lost. Newegg's customer service used to be top notch now it seems like they hire the handicapped.I recently purchased 10 monitors from Newegg, 2 got damaged 3 didn't show up and laser ship put a bogus signature attached to all shipments even ones that Laser ship showed had not been delivered yet and were in transit. They tired to deliver to a buisness on a Friday June 25th. We were close like many others that weekend. I contacted newegg immediately and they put shipping claims in.Over the next 3 weeks an email chain of stupidity unfolded with 4 or 5 people fumbling the claims and repeatedly asking me for the same information over and over again.Monitors finally started to show up 2 at a time 3 times meaning I received 6 of the 10 over the next two weeks, there were still 4 outstanding with one begin turned around in transit by the shipper and returned to newegg for damage by the shipper Laser ship. Of the 6 I finally received 5 were okay and one was damaged by water, the one that was returned by the shipper was returned to newegg and I was refunded 0.00 dollars with no explanation as to why I wasn't refunded the full amount and shipping, 3 are missing and we are out over 900 dollars right now because 0.00 refunded, one damaged and 3 missing at 199.99 each, cant make this stuff up. I will never use Newegg again because they decided to take no responsibility for the shipper they chose to use I did not have an option at check out to use a different carrier. Newegg wont refund me for the monitor that did show up that is damaged. They say it's past their return window even though the shipper returned one and the other monitor was only delivered last week over 3 weeks from the time I purchased it so newegg claims it's out side of their return window. It should not be my responsibility to fight with the shipper they choose. That's why I pay them for shipping so they can use who they think will get the product to their customers as quickly and undamaged as possible. RIP Newegg. You lost me, my company, and my clients as a consumer of goods from you. I worked with you for 3 weeks. Now I will dispute the charges with the credit card company. Hope you loose. Ever since you sold out to the Chinese in 2016 you all have been headed towards Tiger Direct status, Well, now your there congrats on another pitiful mile stone.

Ordered an accent chair

Ordered an accent chair - it arrived looking shop-soiled - lint/dust trapped in the folds, bashes and marks, pulls in the fabric. Sent pictures and contacted via web chat/emailed, still no response after several days…

Review of LinkedIn

Unwanted bills for unwanted Premium account. Worst service ever.

I was a member of Lynda, not LinkedIn. Now I have a LinkedIn Premium account until August 23rd 2020, I was on holidays, now I'm too late to cancel my subscription and I've been billed for the coming year. No option to cancel just 3 days after renewal.Really bad service. LinkedIn sucks.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Seriously, how does a company like LinkedIn get by with the customer service reps that they do? Charged me $100 over a Saturday and Sunday because they said my free-trial was expired. NO notification of this expiration and paying $51/day for a job posting that they set the payment standard for. When trying to speak with someone on the customer team they just sent me screenshots and said I agreed to terms. No type of resolution whatsoever. I've never dealt with less understanding customer service reps than those at LinkedIn. No wonder they have so many low ratings.

Review of LinkedIn

It was strange

It was strange, I signed up posted my ad for my business, made a news article and logoed out a few days ago I tried to signin and it said restricted. And that they wanted my personal information and a picture of my face.I didn't think a lot of it, so I just stopped after the photo, so than I figured I would wait a couple of days and go back which I did today 1/22/25, same thing only this time it asked for Drivers License, or state ID.Since i stopped driving in 2009, I turned in my drivers license for a state ID. Allow m to give you a little of my story about my identity. In 2007 my identity was stolen and I went from A+ credit to 0 credit. I ended up having to file bankruptcy, I really believe it was from something I signed up for on the internet.I won't go into anymore of what I lost. The reason I am mentioning this is because, I don't like the idea of Linkin asking for my state ID. they are not a government agency or a bank or a state agency and I feel don't have the right to ask that.I wanted to contact them, to explain why i can't give them my information and how nervous I am about it.I was trying to find where to contact them without Loging in but couldn't. Even if they told me that they would not steel my identity I would not believe them.I am wondering if this could be about social engineering.I don't want anything to do with them any more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review of Google

Captcha? a joke

I was a great fan of Google but the search responses have got worse in recent years. But it is not that which causes me to write this review. Google has become unusable because of Captcha. Every third use of Google sees me ticking boxes with motorcycles and traffic lights. Google has become unusable. I have had to migrate to other search engines such as Edge
