Emirates Customer (Dis)Service

Horrific experience. Flight from Manchester was delayed by the rainstorm in Dubai (EK22 16 April). Arrived Dubai an hour late which isn’t too bad, but then we had a 2.5 hour wait for our luggage to appear. Once it did appear, there was no way to leave the arrivals hall. Doors leading outside were blocked off, no taxis, the queue for taxis was around half a mile long and growing by the minute, Metro was out of service… so we arrived at around 9.30pm, had to sleep on the floor of the arrivals hall, eventually managed to get on the Metro at just after 7am, then had to wait 2 hours for an Uber to get to our hotelAlmost none of this was the fault of Emirates, but what WAS the fault of Emirates was that we literally didn’t see a single Emirates employee during the whole ordeal. There’s no Emirates baggage desk in the baggage hall, no Emirates customer service desk in the arrivals hall, they don’t answer the phone or respond to social media requests… they provided ZERO service and hundreds and hundreds of people were left to fend for themselves. They didn’t give any advice, travel updates, suggestions… nothing.I certainly won’t be in a rush to book with Emirates again. Their service has been going down the toilet for years, but they’ve reached an all time low. The flight itself was quite comfortable but the on-board experience was dire. Vile food and the cabin crew clearly wanted to be somewhere else, and I know how they felt…

They survive on size alone

They survive on size alone. Smaller companies with such abysmal service would go under. They offer low prices, confirm order, then cancel on day of supposed delivery. The agents are no better than robots, patronising & ignorant, simply reading a script.

This media outlet needs to be shut down…

This media outlet needs to be shut down completely. When there is a senior Hamas terrorist running this, they will only report PRO HAMAS content, and push anti-semetic narratives and propaganda that is doing nothing but harm to the world. Clearly, Islamist Extremism has to be banned, terrorism at any level is dangerous. We all must take a stand against this evil!!!

Review of otto

Terrible - Disaster

1 star is very much for them, Trust Pilot has to add even negative score, because really 1 star is very much for them.No one can speak with you in English in Otto. When they understand that you are not German they will change their behavior to you.I had and have so many problems with them and no one wants to help me to solve my problems.I am wondering how they hire people in their customer service. Their customer service is a terrible customer service. They only know how to complicate your problem and not solve it. They disrespect people in all sorts of ways. When they understand your German is not good, instead of speaking English, they will try to speak German most more difficult, because they don't want to help you.If you compare them to their competitors, you will find that the price of the goods is more expensive, the support is very poor in the event of a catastrophe, the delivery time is extremely long, the delivery service is not at all what they promise you. They do not even keep their promises. They only know how to play theater for you.If you don't believe me, OK wait for their response to my opinion here.

Absolute shambles of an investigating body. The ICO take 3 months to even acknowledge a complaint. They do not take enforcement action even when a company breaches the DPA repeatedly. Useless waste of time.

I ordered a resume for the layout & fonts. When I began to edit it, I found that all the fonts used were outdated & so the whole reason I was drawn to it wasn’t an option. I contacted creative market a couple of times & did not hear back. I was unhappy about this purchase & hoped for my money back.

Review of economist

Avoid their customer service at all cost

Worst experience with a customer service ever. Everything was going smooth with my subscription until they cancelled my subscription for no reason. I had been moving between the UK and a country in the EU a few times, and my Economist subscription was following me everywhere, until at some point they decided that it would not be possible anymore. Contacted the customer service asking why, the staff person (who did not speak English by the way!!) unilaterally decided to cancel my subscription without my consent. Afterwards, they claimed they had processed the refund, but this was not true and I had to chase them for THREE MONTHS via email. Sent an email to complain at complaints at economist.com , as advised here, never received a reply. So they pretend that they are dealing with complaints on this website, but this is just for appearances only. it looks like they are losing customer over customer, given this situation it's shocking (i) to have such a poor customer service (ii) to push clients out when they would actually be happy with keeping their membership. Anyway after this terrible experience, there is NO WAY ever I will purchase an Economist membership and I am discouraging my friends and colleagues to do so. It's pointless to have good quality journalism if your service is poor.

Customer Service Makes the Ultimate Experience

A product or service is not complete until you need the customer support. Customer support here is great! They are very attentive, helpful, and efficient. Everything was resolved smoothly and in a single interaction.Kudos!

ProsperWorks have been a great company …

ProsperWorks have been a great company to deal with. They are easy to communicate directly with e.g. over a Skype phone call with a real person.I love their product and after using it in a past employer I instigated it within my new workplace. It makes it super easy to track business opportunities and I love how it syncs with Gmail! I have used a couple of other CRM systems and this is the best I've come across.

Disappointing Experience with Bluesky Social

My experience with Bluesky Social has been disappointing in several aspects. Despite its intention to replicate the success of platforms like Twitter (X), Tumblr and Instagram, it faces multiple issues that affect usability and user experience.Firstly, the lack of options to send files such as PDF, JPG, JFIF, BMP, WEBP, or GIF in direct messages is a significant inconvenience. This functionality is basic in other social media like instagram, and its absence limits user interaction. Additionally, I have experienced constant connection problems, including NGINX 404 errors, which make the platform unreliable. When trying to upload a profile picture, I often encounter a strange glitching visual style, with bars or a green color that does not look professional. I have also had difficulties accessing the platform on several occasions, which is frustrating. The registration process is another weak point. When trying to register with a Gmail/AOL/Proton account, I encountered a captcha that sometimes displayed the error "Handle too long," which is annoying and confusing. Furthermore, the inability to create conversation threads, a feature that has already been implemented in other platforms like Threads, limits users' ability to interact effectively.Another concerning aspect is the presence of inappropriate content, such as lolicon and shotacon, which is illegal in many countries. This raises serious doubts about content moderation on the platform. There is also a lack of an account verification system to help eliminate fake profiles and bots, contributing to an unsafe user experience. I have found fake accounts of public figures, such as Maria Corina Machado (mariacorinaya.bsky.social; unofficial/fake), that lack verification and profile pictures, which can lead to confusion. Additionally, there is a noticeable problem with spam, scammers, and fake accounts created by individuals posing as women to steal money from users. Additionally, I have noticed that the translation into Spanish is often poor. Phrases like "borrar esta post" instead of "borrar esta publicación" are clear examples of bad translation, which seems to have been done using automated tools like Google Translate. It would be advisable to use higher-quality translation services, such as DeepL, or to hire professional translators to ensure more effective communication in other languages. In summary, Bluesky Social urgently needs to improve in several areas: from basic functionality to content moderation, account verification, and translation quality. Without these improvements, it is difficult for it to compete with platforms like Threads or Mastodon, which are rapidly gaining ground.I hope the platform takes these constructive criticisms into account to improve the user experience in the future.
