Review of booking

Non-existent customer service. Never again.

I booked a non-refundable & non-cancelable room in a "homestay" through the app booking.com. When I arrived in front of the house around 10pm, nobody was there (there is no reception desk like an hotel would have). I contacted the owner who informed me she hadn't had time to change the bed sheets so she asked me to cancel the booking on my side, because if she did it herself, "her account would be penalized". I spent the next 40 minutes trying to reach booking.com to propose a solution. I was unsuccessful, so I ended up booking another room through another app. In the next few days, I sent several emails to booking.com which NEVER bothered to even reply one of them. Avoid this website at all costs.

I ordered and paid for a copy of my birth certificate for probate sadly of my late Dad :( . You deal with enough when you lose a loved one, so you just really need an easy life. After paying for the certificate @ £14,which is ok, I received a receipt of payment, but no order acknowledgement. Website says you will receive within 10 working days. I waited on the 11th working day, thought I would send an email asking if sent; my Dads Solicitor required it. Logged in and was asked for the acknowledgement number.. None to be found. Looked at receipt for money no number. In the end I hunted hi and low to find an email address, sent email, waited about 5 days as no ref number to correspond with. Email back stating was sent on the 11th July, same date as the email, and I should receive within 5 working days. Awful service.

Review of agoda

Fraudulent bookings

A person keeps making fraudulent bookings in my name. Agoda know this but won't block the account. I have never used them to book anything but they are ok for someone using my name and bank details to book fraudulently. If not for my bank blocking Agoda then I with be out a lot of money.

You provide me with cultivated news from myriad sources, reliable sources that I can believe. Your news is eclectic from the latest must have views on the political front to a rare find of unbelievably varied old cars in a barn in Europe. Something for everyone and all dependable. Thank you!

Techopedia has potential as a tech resource but the articles sometimes skip over important details which can be quite frustrating when you're trying to learn something new.

Been a Premium customer for years

Been a Premium customer for years and never had an issue. Took out a subscription because I was getting fed up of the ads and just wanted to listen to music uninterrupted. Definitely get my money's worth as I listen to it constantly, have discovered hundreds of new artists I adore and can make playlists for every occasion. Never had an issue that's required me needing to contact customer service though, which seems to be where most people are having problems.

Perfect Experience

Beautiful and helpful website. I love how Khan Academy lets education be free to those who access it. I used to take it as not very helpful, but now I appreciate how it works, especially compared to the alternatives. Khan Academy has everything, for everyone, and it's free to use. What else can you ask for? It gives detailed explanations for you while also letting you challenge yourself. Gold star company, these people are rare treasures to the educational field.

Review of amazon

Amazon customer service TERRIBLE!

I am trying to buy an Airbnb Gift Card on Amazon to book an Airbnb for myself. I used my Amazon Prime Credit Card to earn 5% rewards on purchases, including Gift Cards. I wanted to buy an Airbnb for $1983.32. I first tried to buy a $1000 Gift Card, then one for $9832.32, and another for $56.15 using rewards from another card. These transactions were blocked as suspicious. I had to reset my password and do two-factor authentication. When I called Amazon Customer Service, they said it would take 24 to 72 hours for an investigation. I received wrong information from the representative, who said I could repurchase the gift cards, which was not true. I called again and got more wrong information from another representative, who said all my transactions would be canceled, but the $56.15 gift card was processed. I contacted Amazon via chat, and someone called me to ask about the gift cards. After I confirmed, the $1000 transaction went through. I still needed a $900 gift card, and he said he would note it, but that transaction did not go through and has been pending for days. I made at least 5 attempts to fix this issue, but instead of help, I received misinformation. I suggest Amazon fix this problem and train its employees better to avoid spreading wrong information. They also need to improve their systems that block legitimate transactions.

Crooked ads

I have had very good reason to bring to the attention of Google that some of the ads they are carrying are deceitful, for example Honor 7 pro mobile phone advertised at £799 but click on the site and its suddenly its £1099, do Google do anything about it? NO That makes them as bad as the crooked advertiser

Review of asus

Asus support is horrendous

Asus support is horrendous. I bought a monitor that was supposed to be calibrated. It was not properly calibrated to the specs they advertise. I contacted them and over the course of a month I was just contacted by a rotating bunch (10) of "support" specialists that didn't know the first thing about what they were talking about. They just tried to give me the run around every time. No real support, they just tried to tell me I was wrong, up until I bought a hardware calibrator and showed them the failed report.
