Review Time
The only reason i use Sage is because I am too lazy to switch for now. Their customer service is horrible. The Sage 50 data base is slow and they never upgrade anything. Since they switch to the subscription model, they act like a the mafia, blackmailing you each year.
They updated their login method, now requiring 2 factor authentication. I would much prefer if this was left as an option, rather than forcing it upon me, as it didn't work the first few times using the app and my phone service isn't amazing so receiving texts/calls can sometimes be an issue. Ended up taking 30+ mins to get into my account, all just to view a payslip. How ridiculous. Used to find the service worked well, but with 2FA being forced on users, I'd advise any business to stay clear of this platform, especially for something as critical as people's pay.
I honestly can’t express enough how disappointed I am with this HR platform. It lacks even the most basic features—something as simple as tracking probation end dates requires a custom field, which then can’t even be used with their own automation tools. The UI is a nightmare; everything is hidden, confusing, and takes way too long to find. The customer support actually responds quite quickly, but they’re rarely helpful... most of the time they just tell you the feature doesn’t exist, give you the wrong answer, or admit they have no idea. I would have to say this is definitely the worst HR platform I have ever used, but I'll give it a 2 star for the quick response times.
