Terrible services and customer support

I've been a big fan of Amazon and usually their services were top notch. I haven't been using the French version of the website before, but I wanted to buy a present for somebody that is a big fan of the 'Asterix & Obelix' comic books. So I ordered 28 comic books from the French site (since I could not find them on amazon.co.uk or amazon.de).The total order of the value was 310.12 EUR and later that evening that amount was blocked in my account by Amazon. The next day another 155 EUR were blocked so I reached the customer support. They did not explain why this new transaction so I said that things will be ok and the money will get back in my account. Then they made several other authorisations. In total almost 600 EUR was blocked in my account although the grand total of my order was for 310 EUR.So I had to contact again the customer support which were very impolite and rude and in the end they said that they only made a single transaction and that they will cancel the order and cannot help me any further.I just hope I'll get my money back although I'm pretty scared right now that this won't be the case.

I think Amazon fr customer service is appalling!!

I think Amazon customer service is usually superb and can not be faulted. However, Amazon fr is shockingly bad and gives Amazon a bad name. Terrible handling of issue, a 'cant be bothered' attitude and not accountable for their mistakes/ lack of professionalism. I am English and used to the UK amazon's brilliant Cs.

Amazon sells fake products

Last week I bought a fitness product on the French website of Amazon. This product never arrived at my place, so I had to open a claim. Amazon sent me a second delivery, that arrived well. The funny thing is, it is a fake product, it doesn't carry the brand like it has been sold on their website. It is not sold by a independent seller, it's been sold by Amazon itself.Great ! the big Amazon is selling FAKE products.

Cross border shopping with Amazon

Amazon is great and usually very customer friendly. But there is one important thing to know. Amazon offers its items on all Stores in Europe, very often at different prices. Means that you can order a product in another country for a much better price.Therefore you should always go to amadeal.eu to check where you get the top price for your item.

I have used Amazon for some time

I have used Amazon for some time, and I have had problems with goods damaged in transport or problems with faulty goods. My orders have been deivered in time and my problems have been corrected so vey quickly.I can only say that Exellent is a good word to use in the case of this super sized companyTony Wolfe aka Englissh

DireOrdered an item for delivery to the UKIt was dispatched fine, but for some reason no delivery attempt was made and the item was returned to Francecustomer care wouldn't rectify the issue and resend the item out - they simply gave me a refund and said they could not do anything. The item was then out of stock and has remained so since.

Fantastic Service - For Creatives and Publishers

I am writing as an author, editing Amazon listings.I am English and I do not speak French, so I'd first like to praise the language skills, both written and spoken, of the French Amazon staff. They understood my issue perfectly.Amazon France works exactly as you would hope it would, as it should. I only needed to contact them once, with a list of edits and they made all those edits immediately. The listings are now exactly as I'd hoped.I had an issue with erroneous categories and the staff member made the reasonable request that I look through their categories and inform her of which ones I'd like to use. Unfortunately I was unable to understand some of the categories and I informed her of this. Having dealt with the other Amazon sites, I really did not expect anything further, but the lady almost immediately contacted me and said that she had chosen some for me. She listed them and even provided translations and explanations!!!I cannot comment on their service in any other respect, but as regards their assistance for the makers of what they list, I rate them very highly indeed, beyond my expectation, a perfect service.

The most appallingly bad after sales …

The most appallingly bad after sales service I have ever experienced.I do not know where the service center is but it would be nice if they could speak French. Their aggressive way of speaking was very unpleasant. It is clear all they want to do is get rid of you. é fuire! as they say in French

BEWARE Amazon Marketplace: Amazon will not protect its clients if seller ignores you

BEWARE AMAZON MARKETPLACE. I bought a big-ticket item that broke within the warranty period, I contacted the seller through my Amazon account, as instructed by Amazon but have been repeatedly ignored by the seller/manufacturer. Amazon says "tough", does nothing and continues to allow this product to be sold by this seller/manufacturer. I'm out 400€.Amazon is reportedly losing money and seems to be changing its customer service policies.I'm sad. I've been a loyal Amazon customer from almost the beginning but I realize now that if I buy a big-ticket item that I will not be protected, unless it's by the manufacturer. But even with a warranty and consumer protection laws some manufacturers on Amazon seem to realize that they can ignore the buyer's emails and continue to sell on Amazon.
