They disabled my Instagram and Facebook accounts for a shameful reason. However, my accounts were stolen. They ruined the lives of thousands of people with the ban wave. They executed hundreds of thousands of people without ever giving them the right to defend themselves or present evidence, yet even people sentenced to death are given the right to have a final say.
I've been wrongfully accused of CSE (no evidence of what triggered this erroneous accusation was even provided) and my facebook instagram and whatsapp have all been permanently disabled. The appeal was a joke, it was almost immediately denied. Can't contact anyone at Meta by phone or email for a human to review.
I've had an account in good standing, never violating any guidelines at all, since I was 16, nearly 10 years. I'm a dancer and a performer and had a lot of irreplaceable connections, networking, contacts, direct messages from people who've passed, professional connections that I likely will never get back, and a long history of myself that is not possible to recreate. I was banned, wrongfully, for CSE, a guidelines I couldn't possibly have violated, and after an appeal banned within minutes with no recourse or human involvement. This is unacceptable, and I'm not the only person dealing with this. I also lost my Facebook account with even more countless irreplaceable connections and memories because it was linked, when I appeled it was told that my Facebook account had violated guidelines as well despite also not possibly having done so. Meta is using AI systems that are broken and cannot correctly assess community guidelines violations, meaning user's like myself and thousands of others who actively stay within guidelines are being punished and cannot find a solution, while reports of actual community guidelines violations are often ignored or deemed fine. I'm disgusted. I feel violated and upset. Meta needs to fix their broken technology NOW and reinstate all accounts caught up in these incorrect sweeps.
Banned me and almost 30k other users for “child sexual exploitation” for absolutely no reason. They use an ai moderation system and it’s impossible to talk to a human on the support team unless you pay for Meta Verification. I’ve been banned since June 9th and they said it would take 24 hours to review my account. It’s been 17 days.
I been using Instagram since 2013 and never had any issues or warnings, all of sudden my account was disabled this morning with a ridiculous reason - CSE. I appealed it and less than one min.later it said the account is permanently disabled. After searching Reddit and other sites, it seems that 1000s more people also got the same - same exact reason, too. Today it was even reported in the news in South Korea, so it's a global glitch. There are no emails or any way to contact a actual person working for META to fix the issue, seems they did this on purpose. The mass deletion of people's accounts without warning is absolutely disgusting.
