Love Amazon Prime Video and Music... I switched away from Pandora and Spotify.... I'm still using Netflix and Hulu, but now that we've cut the cord on Cable and such, Amazon Prime Video is the perfect complement. Keep it up Amazon.
Came for the Grand Tour. Watched it all in two weeks. Only thing that kept me was Two and a half men - great show, easy rewatch. Then had to pause my subscription for a few weeks and resubscribed with a free student deal. When I got back I realised Amazon removed Two and a Half Men and frankly theres so little recognisable content here its not worth it. I’m saying its not worth it and I’m getting it free on a student deal. Student verification wasn't even worth the hassle for this.
My nightmare experience with Amazon PrimeVideo.Actually my experience is only about the subscription. When I googled primevideo and "The Expanse" I can see there are 4 seasons and 30-day free trial period. I go primevideo.com and try and subscribe and only get a 7 day trial period. Even with the trial period they want my credit card information. I cannot see what films are available before I have entered my creditcard information. I decided NOT to join since this is so untrust worthy of them.
The choice is not bad, but the real problem is that, more and more, the titles are available only in the (Italian) dubbed version... a policy which is really impossible to understand: is it that hard to leave the original version and ADD the dubbed one for those who can't speak english??
For me, the whole point of subscribing to pay tv is to avoid advertising. Prime Video have advertising at the beginning of every show and every single episode and it can't be skipped. Our household has subscriptions to Netflix, Stan and Prime and it has probably been about two months since anyone in our household watched anything on Prime Video. Part of that may be because given a choice between something on Prime and something on Netflix or Stan, I will pick Netflix or Stan over Prime as I don't like having advertising shoved down my throat, but it might also be an indicator that their range is also not as good as Netflix or Stan.Prime also doesn't give the option of skipping the intro to shows, so it is substandard to both Netflix and Stan in that respect as well.Prime comes across as a provider with absolutely no regard for it's users. Instead of putting the effort into creating an an improved customer experience - like Stan and Netflix, by providing the option to skip the intro to shows, Prime instead actually put effort into fowling up the customer experience, by putting advertising in.I doubt we will continue our subscription to Prime as we simply aren't using it because it is a substandard product.
