Review Time
I haven’t received my refund from 2023 ..I am a single mom of a teenage son…I am still waiting on my refund…I used taxpayer advocate and they’re useless..At this point everyone is incompetent you can’t get a straight answer..They keep saying 60 days there is only 12 months in a year…Throw the entire system away..No one knows their job..I don’t know why it’s frustrating..The potus gave these people a platform to be racist on the surface…I don’t get food stamps or any other govt assistance..I work everyday and my tax dollars don’t warrant a refund..Not even a straight answer..This entire system sucks and should be dismantled ….Land of the free…⁉️Not if you’re black ..And that’s a fact ..What a joke IRS and the taxpayer advocate zero stars don’t waste your time !!!!!!
Ms. Stroud, IORS agent #1004366044, provided polite, professional assistance which should be recognized. Ms. Stroud took my call and because of the questions involved, had to review my tax records, which expectedly took time. Ms. Stroud would periodically come back on line to let me know she was still reviewing the documents and hadn't forgotten me. Now days, so many who put you on a phone hold fail to let you know they are still working the issue so you know they haven't died. Thank you Ms. Stroud for your professionalism.
They have prevented me from filing my taxes with all my dependents 2 years in a row. They set up an ID Pin for my daughter and myself without a reason. When we do the ID Verify it doesn't work. This is all just a big wide scam they are running. I am sure many more others are going through this. I did not ask for one and neither did my daughter. Then they refuse to mail it out to us. 2 years now and I have been stolen from. They are a corrupt organization full of fraud and are all about stealing money that I worked. There is no reason to deny me filing my dependent. Might be time to create a group to stop filing taxes if they can't have integrity. I call them and they are unprofessional over the phone. Give no explanation and hang up. The IRS needs to be dissolved.
If I could give 0 stars I would. This is essentially a criminal organization backed by the government, stealing money and holding it forever and making it impossible to reach them. I think the worst of it all honestly is that we can simply communicate using a website, email, calls. It’s all mail. They are living in the 1800s, sending letters by horse. This is embarrassing. They are hiring 80,000 people?!?! They all need to be fired, this organization needs to be shut down by DOGE, and an actual legitimate organization can be put into place .
One of the worst service experiences ever! It is unbelievable to see an organization that is responsible for taxes of the biggest economy in the world is in such shambles. They mailed me a penalty dated back to 2016 and for a penalty dated back to 2018 which I have already paid. I waited for an hour to talk to someone on their support line and when the call connected, I could not hear the other person on the line. They need to create a proper process to provide support or outsource this department completely to a responsible party. They keep sending penalties and charging interest but there is no one to talk to from the IRS!
It is tax time, and We the People, are not allowed access to live IRS Agents? How many people work for the IRS? It used to be where if none of the prompts dealt with your specific issue, that you could say it is something else, placed on hold, and routed to an agent that could help you. Now, you must be very specific as to what you are calling about and if the system does not have your issue in the automated system, you get hung up on. I feel that if we are not allowed to talk to live agents anymore, then DOGE needs to cut back the staff by 50% or MORE since employees are not being bothered by phone calls anymore.
The IRS is holding people's refunds for review on a random basis but why though I file the right stuff every year I have the same amount of dependents. I am counting on this money like many others. It should be an open and shut review on my return. I just don't understand these people. I filed Jan. 17 and was accepted same day. I'm a pather so I have to wait until after Feb. 15th for any movement at all. My return has been on hold since path lifted. This is nuts.
If I could give this 0 stars I would the IRS customer service number I called was just an automated machine I would keep asking to talk to a representative and it said it couldn't understand my command please hang up and try again later, finally called a number waited an hour before I could speak to someone just so they could tell me that it was the wrong department I called than gave me another number to call too called that number and till this day can't get a representative to talk to me wait time is 2+ hrs just so no one answers IRS YOU NEED TO GET YOUR STUFF TOGETHER! BECAUSE WHEN YOU GUYS WANT OUR MONEY OR WE OWE YOU THANNNNNN YOU ARE QUICK TO TAKE ACTION, BUT NOT WHEN WE NEED ANSWERS!!! OUTRAGEOUS!!!
After being on hold for an hour Ms Stump @2:45 must have been having a bad day. She overtalked me. Did not give me a chance to finish answering a question. I had her on speaker my roommate witnessed how calm i was as opposed to how this lady talked down to me. She was very rude. This is not the first time I have encountered this. The IRS has the rudest customer service employees. no matter how nice you are to them they are nasty and degrading to the customer. I am sick of talking to people who think I have to be afraid to express myself because I have to pay taxes. We are adults and deserve mutual respect. If you don't like your job, seek another or get therapy. they should record and monitor every call! this is ridiculous.
