Account blocked for no reason. Support is automated, and I guess nobody is looking at any of my requests.Whatever I submit, I get the following message : "Your number was blocked on Rakuten Viber because it was reported as a source of spam or as a result of unusual activity. The account has been automatically added to a block list and can not be unblocked."
What a scam. If there was 1 star I would use it. I am using viber for years and now I got a new number. I made a mistake and created a new viber account instead of changing my existing one, so then I deactivated the new account because I just wanted to switch numbers and not lose all my conversations. Apparently after that my new number was blocked and could not use it at all for viber. I sent a message to support, explaining the situation so they can fix it and I got the most ignorant reply I have ever gotten from a customer support department: Hello,Your number was blocked on Rakuten Viber because it was reported as a source of spam or as a result of unusual activity. The account has been automatically added to a block list and can not be unblocked.No further information is available at this time. Please do not reply to this e-mail.Like what the actual fudge? What kind of support is this and solution offering? My number is not even a spam number. It’s a brand new specfically not used before number. No wonder why viber is so trashy these days and people are leaving from it. Good riddance.
I've used Viber occasionally for years for international telephony when free means are not available. Hence I kept them topped up with funds as credit to use for calling. Today I had plenty of credit and the call was cut off for lack of funds balance. I went to my account history and looked at my credit top-up and all the call costs since - it did not add up - they have BLATANTLY RIPPED ME OFF, depleting my credit without making enough calls to do so. Of course there seems no way to contest this, and being less than £20 it's hardly worth the hassle. BUT I want to tell anyone here considering them that this company now has DISHONEST business practice based around stealing your credit, which is counter to their promise and any idea of trust, so do not use them.
Horrible experience. I signed up for a free trial where I was supposedly able to call worldwide. I spent over an hour trying to make a call to Canada and it kept failing and telling me the number was invalid, even though I know it is not since the number is stated on the government of Canada website. Viber then told me that I didn't have the right plan and I needed to purchase the Canada specific subscription (though the free trial said it included calls to Canada). I purchased it because the call I needed to make was time-sensitive and the calls still wouldn't go through. It then tried to sell me another unlimited package. Would not recommend at all - try using Skype or another service with more reliable support.
They banned me for no reason! They didn't respond to my emails, only by a bot says "The account has been automatically added to a block list and can not be unblocked. Please do not reply to this e-mail". Noone to explain, noone to give more information. This is not fair! I didn't do anything wrong!!This is the first time they said that to me. Not even a warning!! They are crazy!!I think they don't give attention to what i am saying! They don't care about us! The worst support ever! Don't expect anything good from their bots! Unistall Viber!!
The worst support ever!I reported 2 bugs, they are willing to "help" only with one, but the only thing was, that I should uninstall app, and install again. The bug (no notification on app, new messages appear only after opening the app. This bug is on several phones/tablets of people around me. No other app is having this issue with the same setting) persists, so they want me to disable battery optimalization and keep running viber NONSTOP at background with a massive battery usage. Not a chance! I told them, that I will not do that, so they replied, if I will not cooparate, they will not help me. So I waved at them and uninstalling the stupid app forever. Viber will not survive long this way. Unbelievable, why should I help them resolve their bug? Why they have devs, testers? Massive middle finger to them! Tschuss...
Very poor customer support.I reported a bug to Viber Support as follows."Translate'" option does not appear for text added as a caption for the photo.They gave a desperate solution to basically delete and reinstall. It didn't help, bug persisted.So I told them and heard nothing for 3 weeks so I chased. Nothing for 2 weeks then they closed the ticket saying they hadn't heard from me.This company won't last long if they choose to ignore important bugs and LIE to customers!!!
